As a millennial, I’ve noticed how differently the younger generation views iconic RPGs. Recently, I had a conversation with a friend in his twenties who shared that he was only ten when Skyrim was released and he saved up to buy it. This made me curious about what RPGs from our generation captivate the imaginations of those under 25. What are the RPGs that you love and consider to be monumental in your gaming experience? Which ones made you daydream about living in their worlds?

For me, Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur are my go-to RPGs. I love getting lost in their vast worlds for hours; they’re my ultimate comfort games. As for what I think should be iconic, Wasteland 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition definitely deserve a mention, and Xenoverse 1 is another one that stands out. They all have unique elements that really resonate with me.
I totally agree about Kingdoms of Amalur! It’s definitely underrated with a ton of lore that deserves more love. I really hope THQ Nordic does something more with it in the future.
