Hey everyone! I’ve got a few errands to run this weekend, so I’m not sure how much gaming time I’ll actually get. If I do find some time, I’m planning on revisiting X-Men 2: Clone Wars on the Sega Genesis—it’s one of my all-time favorite superhero games! The bosses can be tricky, but with the right character choice for each level, it’s definitely manageable. What about you guys? What retro games are on your agenda this weekend and why?

I’m on a Zelda binge right now! Probably gonna play Wind Waker or Twilight Princess, unless I somehow get sidetracked by Monster Hunter Wilds.
Totally with you! I missed Twilight Princess back in the day, but I’m really enjoying it now!
I’m also giving Wind Waker another go—this time on my GameCube with Dolphin. Might sneak in another game if I find the time.
I’m diving into Double Dragon 3 this weekend. It’s one of those classics that I remember renting but hit a brick wall with the difficulty. I cleared Double Dragon II easily, but this one is a struggle from the get-go. I might switch to playing the JP version since the NES difficulty feels like such a scam!
I grew up with the JP version, so I’m surprised by the difficulty comments! My old Famicom had turbo buttons, which made the spin kick a breeze. Eventually beat the last boss after many retries! I got the Switch port recently and wow, it’s tough! Spam jumping kicks to win, but it can get quite repetitive.
Finally picked up Chrono Trigger and playing it on real hardware. Avoided spoilers for ages, and it’s time to see what the buzz is all about—especially since it’s the anniversary!
Definitely worth your time! I missed the original SNES version too, but I 100% completed the Steam remaster and loved it. The original hardware makes a big difference!
Same! I’m switching between A Link to the Past and Link Between Worlds. It’s awesome to revisit a similar map in different games!
