I’ve just tried Resident Evil 4 on my brother’s PS5 and I’m totally hooked! There’s a huge sale on Steam for classic Resident Evil games right now, and I want to know which other titles I should grab. I’ve heard a lot about the series but haven’t played any of the others yet. What’s a good starting point or what should I consider picking up?

If you enjoy solving puzzles, I’d recommend checking out the original Resident Evil 1. If you’re after a scary experience, definitely go for RE7. And if you’re up for a remake, RE2 is fantastic! It’s all about exploring Raccoon City with the new RE engine.
I just picked up RE7 and RE8. Let me tell you, RE7 is packed with jump scares and a lot of tension! It’s all about avoiding enemies, conserving your ammo, and getting scared out of your mind. It’s frustrating at times, but it’ll totally pull you in, and you’ll want to get through to RE8 afterwards!
If you’re looking for a good entry point, Resident Evil 7 is awesome! It’s where I started, and it really sets up the tension and horror of the series well.
Honestly, you can jump into any game pretty casually, but if you want some background, playing RE2 and RE3 before diving into RE4 is a good idea. They’ll give you some nice story context!
Right? It’s all about that connection to Raccoon City!
Sounds like typical Resident Evil! But that’s half the fun, right?
