I’ve been playing Helldivers for a while now, and I’m curious about how others gauge someone’s skill level in the game. Is it more about your character level, total playtime, or the difficulty you’re comfortable with? Or is it impossible to assess someone’s skill without actually playing alongside them? Here are my personal stats: I’m level 32, I’ve logged 38 hours, and I generally play on comfort difficulty 8.

Level and playtime? Nah, those don’t really mean much. Lots of players can grind levels without actually getting better. The real indicators of skill come down to how well someone plays as part of a team, managing their loadouts, and coordinating with others during missions. No stat really captures that.
Honestly, I think skill is more about your awareness in-game rather than just stats like level or playtime. You should look at how well players can handle situations, like their map awareness and accuracy with weapons. Skilled players know when to engage or avoid combat. It’s all about how they adapt to different challenges they face.
Thanks for the insight!
