What Nintendo Switch games should I try based on my favorites?

-

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some recommendations for Nintendo Switch games since I’m trying to be budget-conscious and can only buy one game at a time. I’ve enjoyed loving games like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Animal Crossing, Ooblets, Stardew Valley, Skyrim, Subnautica, Dreamlight Valley, and the Persona series (both Royal and Strikers). I’d like to avoid wasting my money on games that don’t suit my taste, especially after regretting some purchases like Fate Extella and Dark Souls 3. Any suggestions that could match my style? Thanks!

You might enjoy A Short Hike. You play as a bird boy visiting a nature reserve, exploring, chatting with characters, and collecting items. It’s kind of like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley but without the hectic day-night cycle and gardening. Plus, it’s super affordable at around $8 and should give you a good four hours of fun, maybe more if you just want to chill!

Try out Yggdra Union or Disgaea 1 Complete if you’re into strategy RPGs. Also, Cult of the Lamb could be a fun pick if you’re okay with a faster-paced, slightly darker twist on Animal Crossing! Other recommendations would be the Rune Factory series, Harvestella, or Xenoblade DE. Definitely consider checking out Persona 3 and 4 too!

If you liked Fire Emblem, Unicorn Overlord could be your jam! It’s got those tactical vibes you might appreciate.

Don’t forget about Elin! It could be a nice fit for you as well.

If you’re a fan of open-world games, give New Vegas a shot. It’s got a lot of depth and choices that lead to different experiences.

If you haven’t tried it yet, check out Sea of Stars. It’s a turn-based RPG that features some really cool mechanics and stunning art style. It’s definitely worth a look!
