I’m on the lookout for any interesting new multiplayer games coming out this year, especially those with mixed-reality options. I got hooked on Thrill of the Fight 1 with MR and I’m keen to try more of this type. I’m open to any genre, not just VR. Last year, I played a lot of Pavlov, Contractors, and Vail, which are shooters. I’m curious if there are any unconventional multiplayer games on the horizon, maybe some that are RPG-lite or something unique. I’d love to know what’s being developed for 2025 too. Got any recommendations?

I’m more into single-player open-world games for VR, but there are some cool multiplayer games in VR worth mentioning. If Crysis VR mode is on your radar, it’s something VR enthusiasts are buzzing about. Even though there’s a hefty wish for bigger titles like Skyrim or Cyberpunk in VR, current multiplayer titles like Pavlov and Vail still keep the co-op spirit alive.
If you’re into mixed reality games, I’d definitely suggest looking into Spatial Ops. It’s really hit the mark for MR gaming according to what I’ve heard, and some players are so into it that they’re setting up infrared lights just to play it in darker settings. It’s really pushing the boundaries of MR! Check it out if you haven’t.
While it’s not exactly brand new, Into The Radius 2 offers a quality multiplayer experience. They currently have a 2-player co-op that’s quite fun, but the real anticipation is for the 4-player mode that should release later on. Just keep in mind, it’s still a bit buggy, but once they smooth things over, it’ll be awesome. Hopefully, it’ll be polished soon for a seamless adventure with your squad!
