What New Features Would You Love to See in a Pokémon Game?

-

I’m curious about what mechanics or features you all would want in a new Pokémon game. I’m currently developing my own creature collector game that blends the classic sprite-based Pokémon style with an Octopath Traveler vibe. I’ve got some ideas, but I want to hear from you! What would you like to see implemented? Your feedback could really help shape my project and maybe even turn it into something exciting for my YouTube channel!

Why not go for triple typing in battles? It could add a whole new layer of strategy to the gameplay and make team-building way more fun!

Unique boss mechanics could be a game-changer! Imagine battles where the ace Pokémon is supercharged like totem Pokémon, or gyms with entirely different mechanics that keep you on your toes. It’d make those fights way more memorable!

There needs to be way more reasons to explore the world! Long quests to unlock mysteries could make capturing legendaries feel more rewarding. Plus, incorporating aspects from the Legends series where you need to capture specific Pokémon to help a village grow would be amazing!

That’s a fantastic idea! Adding a job system where Pokémon can help you earn money could add a fun twist to how you interact with them.

Some cool ideas I’ve seen are making evolution optional just like in Legends Arceus, allowing for an open world, or having multiple evil teams to spice things up. Also, it’d be neat if Pokémon could do more logical things like in the anime and maybe expanding the party size beyond 6, with balance implications. I’d love to see some mechanics that just make the gameplay more exciting!

I think evolution has kinda always been optional, right? You can just cancel it when it happens! But I love the idea of having more interactions with our Pokémon.

Your project sounds intriguing! I’m all for more open world features. I think giving players actual roles in the game would enhance the connection with their Pokémon.

Why not let Pokémon wear accessories? Just like in the anime with mega stones. Imagine Emolga with goggles or giving your Infernape some Goku-inspired gear! It’d personalize our Pokémon even more.

I love that idea! Just imagine the customization options! Definitely will include this in my project.
