I’m looking for some insights on what level is ideal for soloing old raids. Just one-shotting everything feels way too easy, especially since most of these raids will be new to me. I’d like to experience the old content with a bit more challenge instead of just breezing through it. Any suggestions on a good level to aim for?

Raids are grouped into level brackets, so here’s a rough idea: vanilla, TBC, and Wrath raids are at level 30; Cataclysm and Mists at level 35; WOD at 40, Legion at 45, BFA at 50, Shadowlands at 60, and Dragonflight at 70. You won’t solo a level 30 raid at level 30, but at level 35, you’ll probably steamroll through them. So, if you want a challenge in level 30 raids, I’d suggest trying somewhere around level 32. Higher level raids like BFA or SL need even more levels to complete reliably.
For instance, Dragonflight’s first raid is halfway soloable right now, but the Shadowlands raids have better solo options. Just experiment a bit!
From my experience, Dragonflight raids can be the toughest since they’re from the most recent expansion. Generally, soloing old raids doesn’t prove difficult, as you’ll either defeat the bosses easily or struggle due to mechanics. But remember, soloing doesn’t really let you fully appreciate the intricacies of raid fights like teamwork does.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll give each a shot at two levels above the bracket. You rock!
