I’m in need of a new laptop because my current one is just terrible. I want something that can handle PC VR, but I can’t go for a desktop due to my situation. I’m hoping to find recommendations for a laptop in the $700 to $1000 range. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might find some used laptops with a 4070 GPU that are in your budget. It could be a solid option for VR gaming without breaking the bank.
What kind of headset are you planning to use? If you’re going for a wireless Quest 3, I’d suggest looking for something with a 40 series GPU to utilize the AV1 encoder for optimal performance.
If you’re handy, consider getting a high-powered laptop with a smaller SSD and just 8GB of RAM. Many powerful models come at a lower price because of their less appealing hardware. You could then invest an extra $1-200 on upgrading to a 1TB SSD and 64GB of RAM, making it a powerhouse without spending a fortune.
If you’re willing to save up a little more, hitting around $1200 opens up some great options like the Asus G16 or A16. If there’s a Micro Center nearby, check them out for amazing open box deals!
I’ll look into that! Thanks for the suggestion!
