I’ve noticed that indoors, my FPS is great, often hitting a solid 240+. However, when I’m out exploring or in events, I experience significant FPS drops, sometimes dropping to around 100 FPS. Interestingly, I manage to get better performance from other games like Marvel Rivals, Cyberpunk, and Baldur’s Gate. I’m curious if this is a common problem others are facing or if there might be an issue with my PC setup. I tried turning off V-Sync in the INI file and capped my FPS to match my monitor’s refresh rate. My setup includes a 4060 Ti and an Intel i9-13900K.

I usually cap my FPS at 144 since higher than that sometimes causes issues like getting locked in place. In certain areas, like the mire, my FPS drops to about 40, and I can definitely feel the difference. For the most part, though, I maintain around 144 FPS on my 7800X3D and 7900XTX, so it can vary a lot depending on location.
Don’t worry; the game is pretty poorly optimized overall. It’s not just you; many players are struggling to maintain good framerates with it.
I’m currently getting around 45 FPS since I’m rocking an i5-4570. I know it’s not the best choice, but it gets the job done. Have you looked into using lossless scaling? It helps me lock my FPS at a stable number, which is great for dips in performance. I’ve noticed a bit of blurriness on the UI with it, but overall it’s been my best purchase.
Yeah, that sounds like a solid approach! I also read that locking FPS can seriously help with stability during gameplay.
FPS? I’ve never really checked since this game isn’t exactly demanding. But honestly, I wouldn’t stress too much over it!
Thanks for confirming! I’ve seen streamers with super smooth gameplay and was starting to think there might be something wrong with my hardware. I sometimes have shader loading issues but the games run fine otherwise.
