I’m really trying to understand the new Onslaught system. I’ve read some wiki entries and I know it’s supposed to replace Furious, but I’m still confused about how the perks and stacks function. Are there actually specific perk cards related to Onslaught now, or should I stick with my regular Slugger perks for weapons like the auto axe? And what about heavy guns like the Pepper Shaker?

Haha, love the excitement! Just remember, Furious was all about that damage, and Onslaught just takes it to a whole new level with stacks. It’s all about hitting those targets and maximizing your damage output!
Check out Kat aka Duchess’s video on this! It’s super in-depth and should help clear up a lot of your questions. Here’s the link: https://youtu.be/q1KrVunxsfA?si=Sr-BYRh1pWlXiSoW
Thanks! I’ll definitely check it out.
Onslaught isn’t exactly a replacement for Furious; it’s more like what they did combined with some new elements. In this system, the stacks you build up give you damage boosts based on how many you have. If you use lower fire rate weapons, you might want to check out the Gunslinger Master perk because it switches how stacks work — you’ll gain them over time instead of with hits. This system can be tricky but is super effective once you get the hang of it!
Onslaught has two main parts: stacks and buffs. You gain Onslaught stacks whenever you hit a target, but if you don’t keep hitting, you’ll lose them over time. The perks from Gunslinger and Guerrilla, along with some legendary mods like Furious, improve these stacks and give other bonuses like increased damage or reload speed. Just remember, onslaught stacks work alongside your other damage perks, so you’ll definitely still want to rock those Slugger perks if you’re going melee!
Thanks for the detailed response! This makes things so much clearer for me.
Reverse Onslaught is when the gameplay flips, where you gain stacks over time instead of through hits. You can think of regular Onslaught as needing to hit targets to keep stacking damage. So, for fast-firing guns, regular Onslaught is great, but for slow ones, Reverse Onslaught works better. The key is just to keep hitting if you want those stacks to mean something!
Haha, appreciate it! You’ve got me hyped!
