I’m really excited about the idea of adding cryo weapons to the game! I envision being able to throw impact cryo grenades that freeze a group of enemies or shoot a beam of ice at them. It would bring a cool (no pun intended) new dynamic to gameplay! I’m also curious about your thoughts on what other weapon elements could be introduced. One idea I’ve had is that when frozen enemies are killed, they would explode and shoot out shards of ice that deal damage based on a small percentage of the enemy’s health. How do you think cryo stratagems could be effectively implemented in-game?

Freezing enemies should definitely have some extra effects! For instance, if a frozen enemy’s armor becomes fragile and drops by one level, it would let you penetrate their defenses better with low-penetration weapons like cryo grenades. Otherwise, cryo could end up like other elements that don’t get much use. I love the idea of frozen enemies exploding on death and sending out ice shards to damage nearby foes! Plus, expecting that damage would relate to the enemy’s health could balance things out nicely.
Agreed! And the idea of lowering armor levels makes sense—as beam weapons set enemies on fire, having cryo weapons weaken their armor fits perfectly.
I’m totally on board with cryo weapons! Not only should frozen enemies lose an armor level, but they could also take frost damage over time. Just picture it: you freeze the ground, and enemies slide around uncontrollably until they hit something solid—what a wild scene that would make in battle! It’d really create some hilarious moments, especially with tougher enemies smashing into objects.
Yeah, that’s a great take! I think if the ice shards did a percentage of the enemy’s health, it would really scale well, especially for tougher enemies! Imagine the chaos when a low-health enemy explodes!
