I’m thinking about signing up for PS+ Extra, but I need some clarity on how the game access works—specifically, what happens to the games in the subscription once my membership runs out. If I’ve installed and played these games, will I still be able to access them after my subscription ends, or will they be gone completely? Thanks for any insights!

For real, you need to keep the subscription active to play the PS+ titles. Funny thing is, I had a weird glitch where I didn’t renew for a couple of months but could still play all my games. Not sure how that happened, but normally, access goes away once your subscription lapses.
You definitely need an active subscription to keep playing the PS+ Extra games. Once your membership expires, you’ll lose access to any games you got through it. Just a heads up, if you have added some games to your library while subscribed, you can access them again when you renew your membership.
That’s right! When your PS+ subscription ends, you lose access to all the games that came with it. The good news is that any PS+ Essential games you claimed will stay linked to your PSN account but can’t be played until you renew. Also, keep in mind that if you downgrade from Premium to Extra, you lose all access to those Premium games.
