Last night, I played Dave the Diver for several hours and I was certain I had saved my progress manually. I didn’t touch any online storage options during that time. However, when I logged in today and selected ‘continue’, I found myself back to where I was four days ago. This seems to be a recurring issue for me lately, and I didn’t change anything in how I usually save my game. Can anyone shed some light on what might have gone wrong or if there’s any way to recover my lost save data? It’s really bumming me out and killing my motivation to continue playing.

It seems like your save may not have saved correctly, even if you thought you did. Sometimes the game can glitch and not actually write the save to your console, especially if power or connection issues occur while saving. It might be a good idea to double-check your save status before quitting in the future.
Your save could have been corrupted for some reason, leading the game to revert to an older backup. Unfortunately, if you weren’t using cloud saves, you’re left with whatever data is stored locally. It’s a real bummer, but it might be worth checking the game’s settings if they have any options for recovery or backups.
Thanks for the tip! I guess I’ll need to start backing up my saves regularly from now on.
Exactly! I’ve seen that happen before too. It’s really frustrating, but keep an eye on your saves to avoid this from happening again.
