I’m curious to know what gaming principles or preferences you’re staunch about. For instance, mine is that I won’t play any game that requires me to install or register for a new launcher. I haven’t touched Dead Space or any EA game in the last decade because of the EA launcher requirement. I don’t care how great the game might be; I’m not on board with developers pushing their proprietary systems on me. Just to clarify, I’m referring to publisher-specific launchers, not platforms like Steam.

Account linking and multiple launchers are such a hassle. I find it hard to keep track of everything these days; I’ll probably skip a lot of games because of this trend!
I would say that Rockstar is just as guilty as EA or Ubisoft when it comes to screwing over gamers. They get a free pass way too often, even when they pull shady stuff.
You know what else ruins gaming? Microtransactions. It feels like developers focus more on monetization than making good games. Just look at the horror show that some FPS games have become lately!
I hear you! Always-online requirements for single-player games are the worst. Typically, it’s EA or Ubisoft pushing that crap. I just want to play without worrying about internet issues.
Right? Those games aren’t multiplayer, so why make it mandatory? It’s just frustrating.
Totally with you on that! If it’s a single-player game, I don’t see why I need to make an account or use a launcher. It just clutters my desktop. I mean, if I can’t even launch the game without all this hassle, I’m out!
Exactly! It’s like they think we want a million launchers. Steam is enough for me, and anything else feels like unnecessary bloatware.
For real! But then there’s the argument that some good games are free because of them. I guess it really depends on how they’re implemented.
