I’m curious about games that have had remarkably high frame rates on their respective hardware, whether it be PC or consoles. Specifically, I’m looking for titles known for maintaining high FPS despite their stunning graphics. For example, I think Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order looks absolutely gorgeous, especially the way it handles human skin and hair physics, and it ran really smoothly on my old laptop. What other games do you think deserve a mention for their optimization?

RollerCoaster Tycoon is legendary for its optimization. It was mostly built in assembler and runs flawlessly on minimal hardware, proving that you don’t need high-end specs to have a great experience.
Yeah, but have you tried Locomotion? Chris Sawyer called it his magnum opus!
Doom 2016 definitely makes the list as well! It runs so well, you can even have a classic version of Doom running on ridiculously low specs. It’s incredible how they achieved such performance with stunning visuals.
Totally! My old flip phone could run it at 120 FPS on ultra settings!
Can’t wait to see how the next Doom game performs!
Metal Gear Solid V and Doom Eternal are often mentioned as top picks for optimized games. Both manage to look fantastic while running smoothly, no matter the setup! I remember playing MGS5 on my Nvidia 970 and it was just buttery smooth.
Absolutely! MGS5 ran beautifully on PS3 too, can’t believe how well it performed on that hardware.
Doom is a great example; I maxed it out on a 1080 Ti and got amazing FPS.
Right? It’s unbeatable! Chris Sawyer really poured his heart into that one.
