I’m on the hunt for games that really make you feel immersed and curious, regardless of their genre. I remember my first experience with Rust, which, despite its frustrations, really kept me engaged. Games like Subnautica and Disco Elysium have also given me that same feeling. I’m looking for suggestions that really capture that sense of wonder, so please share your favorites!

You can’t go wrong with Outer Wilds—it’s a must-play for curiosity! Other titles I’ve enjoyed include Night in the Woods, Firewatch for its immersive story, and Elden Ring for its expansive world. If you want something lighter, try A Short Hike. It’s short but oh-so-sweet in its exploration!
One game that comes to mind is Journey. It has a beautiful world and a unique way of storytelling that really makes you feel. But if you want more suggestions, I’ve got some favorites: Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies, La Mulana 1 and 2, Hollow Knight, Environmental Station Alpha, Tunic, FromSoft games, Riven, Outer Wilds, and Spelunky 2. Each of these will certainly ignite that sense of curiosity!
Monster Hunter World did wonders for me, especially when you install the texture pack! The vibrant environments draw you in. It’s amazing how much visual detail can enhance your experience. Also, don’t overlook older classics like Ocarina of Time and Assassin’s Creed 2—they bring that sense of adventure, too!
The Horizon series really stands out for its captivating world and lore! Plus, I loved the thrill of exploration in games like Ghost of Tsushima and Skyrim. They both offer vast landscapes and rich stories that keep you wandering, wondering what’s around the next corner!
Absolutely agree with Outer Wilds! It’s so exploratory and refreshing.
