I’m looking for games that require detailed management to survive, kind of like in Escape from Tarkov where you have to keep track of your ammo, manage your thirst, hunger, and weight. Or in Death Stranding where you soothe your BB and have to handle your footwear and the battery for your exoskeleton. I really enjoy games with complex systems that you must keep an eye on to stay alive. Any recommendations?

“The Long Dark” is another great option. It’s all about exploring a harsh environment while managing your temperature, hunger, thirst, and rest levels to survive. Very immersive and rewarding!
You should definitely check out “Don’t Starve”! It has a lot of management elements where you have to balance your hunger, health, and sanity while exploring a weird world. It’s really fun and challenging!
If you’re into detailed management, you might like Paradox’s grand strategy games like Crusader Kings. They aren’t survival games per se, but they have tons of intricate details that might scratch that itch for you.
For a true survival experience, check out “RimWorld.” It gets intense, especially on harder difficulty levels. You have to micromanage every aspect of your colonists’ lives, including their happiness and mental state, or you’ll face disasters!
Yeah! I find myself losing colonists to mental breaks all the time. It’s brutal but makes you manage everything with care.
I second that! The atmosphere and survival mechanics are top-notch.
