I’ve recently broken my left thumb and now my hand’s in a cast. Gaming is my main hobby, but with my left hand out of action, I’m struggling to find games I can still enjoy. I can sort of use my other fingers, but it’s tough. Any recommendations for games that are manageable with one hand? Thanks! 🙏🏻

Point-and-click games or turn-based strategy games like Civilization come to mind. They’re less reliant on reaction time and usually pretty forgiving with input lag, making them great for one-handed play.
You might want to get a gaming mouse with extra buttons like a Corsair Scimitar Elite. It has a thumb keypad which could cover your needs for activating abilities when the keyboard is tough to use. It does take a bit of practice, but with your downtime, it might be worth picking up.
Check out games like Vampire Survivors or Deep Rock Survivor. They’re not too heavy on controls and might just need a bit of key remapping to fit your needs. Worth exploring!
If you’re up for something laid-back, solitaire is a classic. For something more narrative-driven, try Life is Strange where decision-making is the main focus.
If you’re looking for games that rely solely on mouse usage, then Star Wars Empire at War or Stronghold Crusader should fit the bill perfectly! They offer full gameplay with just the mouse.
Consider trying turn-based games like XCOM 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, or Divinity Original Sin 2. These games don’t demand quick reactions, allowing you to play at your own pace without stressing over the cast.
