I’m currently diving into The Witcher series, starting with the first game. I’ve realized that you can actually import your save into The Witcher 2. This got me thinking about how my decision-making might impact future gameplay, especially since I’m making some choices that might seem odd given what I know about the sequel. It reminds me of when I played Mass Effect and other Bioware titles. What other games let you carry over your save data to sequels?

One classic old series that does this is the Champions of Krynn games. You can take your save from Champions of Krynn and carry it over to Death Knights of Krynn. It’s a great throwback for anyone into old-school RPGs!
Definitely check out the Suikoden series, specifically Suikoden 1 through 3. You can pass along your save data and see how things change in the later games. The .hack series also has this feature where your save can continue through the games. Really adds a personal touch to your journey!
Golden Sun is another game that lets you carry over your progress to its sequel, The Lost Age. It’s done in a unique way with a link cable or passwords to transfer the data. Adds continuity to the adventure, for sure!
