I’ve noticed that there are some game achievements that seem so basic that it’s hard to believe that many players haven’t completed them. For example, I’ve seen achievements for simply finishing the first mission of a game where only a fraction of players have earned them. What game achievements have you encountered that leave you baffled by their low completion rates?

One that baffles me is the ‘Get Your Feet Wet’ achievement in Subnautica. It’s literally something you do right away, yet I read it’s not unlocked by a significant percentage of players. I guess some just never step outside the pod!
Exactly! Sometimes achievements can have weird triggers. Who knows, maybe some just were too intimidated by the ocean!
It’s wild to see achievements like ‘Open Inventory’ in Minecraft only being completed by 57% of players. I mean, that’s one of the first things you do when you start playing! Maybe some people just never get into the survival mode or were confused with all the settings.
Haha, right? I wonder if people acquired it through game passes or bundles without really diving in.
It could also be that many just skip the tutorial and jump straight into multiplayer. They miss out on the basics!
In the new AC: Shadows, I saw that only about 89% of players have completed the prologue. That’s kind of shocking when you think about how many people buy full-priced games and don’t even see the opening credits!
Yeah, I’ve noticed similar trends in other big titles where players just skip to the main content. It’s interesting!
We might be in an era where players expect instant gratification from games. They jump into the multiplayer without even trying the story.
I was shocked to find that only 2.7% of players have the ‘Use Three Smoke Grenades’ achievement in Far Cry: New Dawn. It’s an easy task, but it seems like not many people bothered to pick up a grenade!
Right? That one should be a cakewalk. Maybe they just forgot to use grenades!
Seems like some players just rush through without exploring different mechanics.
The infamous ‘Press Start To Play’ achievement in The Simpsons Game has blown my mind. Only 7% of players have it! It’s literally just starting the game!
That’s hilarious! It’s like how hard can it really be?!
That totally cracks me up! You’d think everyone who loaded up the game would at least hit start.
I remember encountering that one! I was surprised because you literally can’t avoid it if you explore for just a minute.
