When you go into the rec center there are three different villagers here that want to fight you with their planimals. What do you get for winning the battle against all of them?

I am not sure If I encountered a bug or something but I fought all three of them and won. I went up to the chest at the top of the room and there were a few pieces of iron in the chest. Maybe this isn’t a bug and that was actually the reward. If so, it was a pretty awful reward and wasn’t worth the time.
