I’m diving into building my first PC and want to ensure I’m on the right track. Here are the parts I’m planning to use:
– RAIDMAX V100 case
– B650 motherboard
– RAIDMAX XT Series power supply
– RX 6600XT graphics card
– Ryzen 5 7500F CPU
– 16 GB of DDR5 RAM
– 512GB storage
– 120mm static RGB fans
– Thermalright Peerless Assassin CPU cooler
I’m just making sure I have everything I need, apart from thermal paste. Do I need to consider anything specific before I get these parts and start building?

Just a heads-up, the RX 6600XT is a bit on the older side, so you might want to keep that in mind for future upgrades. However, if this is a huge step up for you, then it should serve you well! It’s definitely better than what you mentioned. Just make sure everything else is compatible with your setup and you should be good to go!
I’d be cautious about the RAIDMAX XT Series power supply. It’s generally best to go for a more reputable brand to ensure stability. Maybe look at brands like EVGA, Corsair, or Seasonic instead. They’ll give you better reliability for the long run!
Good to know! I’ll check out those options. Appreciate the tip!

Totally get that! As long as it works well for me, I’m happy. My current rig feels like it’s running on fumes compared to what I’m planning.
