Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about a theory regarding the next region in Generation 10 of Pokémon. Since Generation 5, there seems to be a historical connection between each region and its real-world counterpart. For instance, Unova is based on New York City, and then we had Kalos inspired by France, which has historical ties with the U.S. Alola, based on Hawaii, also connects to the UK’s Galar region. Then we move on to Paldea, linked to Spain and Portugal, and even its DLC has connections to Japan!
Using this pattern, I believe the next region after Paldea should have connections to Iberia. The latest leaks point towards island-hopping themes for Gen 10, hinting that the new region might be an archipelago. The countries that fit this idea best seem to be Greece, the Philippines, and Indonesia – all have ties to Spain too.
What do you think about my theory? Am I overthinking it or could there really be a pattern here?

Funny you mention Greece because I saw Centro Leaks suggest that too! It’s wild how often I’ve seen Greece pop up in discussions about the next region.
For sure! It’s almost like people are just echoing those leaks now.
I’m with you on Greece! The pattern makes sense, and if they stick to the remake pattern, we should definitely see a Greece-based region in the same generation as the Gen 5 remakes. Plus, there could be some cool lore with Kalos potentially going to war with Greece in the Pokémon Bronze Age!
Definitely! New York has a rich history with Greek emigration, so you’d find some interesting ties there.
Honestly, I think you might be overanalyzing it a bit. It’s fun to draw connections, but sometimes things are just coincidental!
Probably, but it’s such a neat coincidence! Game Freak has definitely had deep lore before, so who knows?
I’m actually hoping for a desert region! Would be cool and honestly, it could really improve performance—not that 25 fps is ideal, but still.
It seems like everyone is shouting Greece or maybe even India as their top picks! Lots of buzz going on.
