I’m curious about what fans would want to see if Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was completely remade from scratch. For example, I’d like to remove the random battles and get rid of that robotic voice announcing the start of every fight, making battles transition seamlessly like in Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth. Also, expanding Midgar to be larger and more detailed like in Remake would be amazing. Plus, I’d like them to cut down on the excessive 300 mini missions since they mostly take place in the same small areas. What are your thoughts on what should be added or removed in a remake?

If you ask me, I’d completely get rid of the random battles altogether. They really break up the flow and can get annoying fast. Also, the mini missions felt super repetitive since they mostly took place in the same cramped areas. Expanding the maps and making those side missions feel more meaningful and varied would be fantastic.
I get why some people dislike that robotic voice announcing combat, but honestly, I think it adds some charm. If anything, just make it optional so players can toggle it on or off. Also, Genesis could use some reworking — he’s kind of overhyped lore-wise, so they could tone down his role to being just the edgy Soldier First Class who kicks off the story, without making him the center of attention.
Honestly, I love pretty much everything in Crisis Core, including the battle announcements like “Activating Combat Mode” and “Conflict Resolved.” They’ve grown on me over time. Maybe an option to turn those off would be nice, but I’d keep them in the game for sure.
