I’ve been diving into Oblivion Remastered, and I’m curious about the bugs others have run into. So far, I’ve encountered a couple of minor glitches, like mounting my horse and standing on top of it for a brief moment before actually sitting down. Also, during the Battle for Kvatch, everyone just stayed in the courtyard instead of heading into the castle. What about you guys? Any crazy bugs or issues?

I’m playing on XBox. When doing Magic Guild quest in Cyrodill I found two glitches. Firstly, when I visit the Magic Guild in Cyrodill I could not go downstairs, because the ceiling is to low. Even when crouching you just can’t go downstairs. It is not an issue on PC version.
Secondly, the quest ask you to go down the well to pick up the ring. When I go into the well I cannot swim down to fit through door arc. Therefore the quest is blocked for me. ♂️
I couldnt wait or fast travel due to enemies being nearby after completing xaselm in shivering isles, looked all around and just kept killing till I eventually made my way back to crucible the city and still wouldn’t work, traveled back across the map to again try and find the mob attached to me and as I’m just randomly looking I finally see a random red dot, as I approach it it’s a failed experiment from the xaselm fortress that can’t even walk on its own just rolling down a hill, literally a failed experiment that could move, walk or be interacted with was alive rolling down a random hill not allowing me to wait or fast travel, took around 3 hours to finally figure it out, almost just reset because of it.
Honestly, it seems to be about the average bug count you’d expect from an open world game today. Not surprising at all!
I faced two total crashes on my PS5—one while escaping the sewers and another about two hours in. Luckily, I haven’t seen any visual bugs yet.
I’ve noticed that the game isn’t really optimized well. The graphical upgrades are nice, but it still has some loading issues, especially with textures after loading screens. Sometimes the lighting gets glitchy, particularly with lightning or electrical magic. It feels like typical Bethesda behavior—I’m sure there are tons of bugs we haven’t found yet!
Yep, it’s their engine at work, always a mess.
I’ve run into some wacky visual issues with my shield. Sometimes it’s there when it shouldn’t be, like when I’m using a two-handed weapon or a bow, and disappears when it should be showing up. It seems to fix itself when I switch between first and third person. Also, enemies tend to hesitate before engaging in combat now, which was never a thing in the original game. And in the arena, if I look directly at Porkchop, he just goes all aggro, which is hilarious!
It’s wild that a 2006 game can’t even maintain a solid 60 FPS on a PS5, even with the remastered graphics. It definitely looks better, but I still perceive some choppiness compared to my memory of the original game. Plus, those texture pop-ins are annoying and should have been fixed by now.
