I’ve been trying to get Genshin Impact working on my Linux machine using various tools like “An Anime Game Launcher,” Heroic with Epic Games, and Lutris, but nothing seems to work. Even when I download and install the game through Lutris, it fails to start, just stopping after a few seconds with an exit code 0. It’s frustrating because it only started working once, and now I’m at a loss for what I could be missing. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

For a simpler approach, you can just use Heroic. It’s designed for games like this on Linux!
Try downloading the HoYoPlay launcher and follow a setup guide. I recommend checking out this YouTube tutorial: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdll_4lZUPI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdll_4lZUPI). Make sure you’re using Proton Experimental or at least the latest Proton 10 beta for better compatibility.
Thank you! I’ll give that a shot right now.
Honestly, I’d suggest skipping it altogether. This game can really steal your time, and you might regret the hours you spend on it!
I get it, but I’ve already invested in this Genshin account since 2021!
Let’s be real, you’ll be lucky if it only steals your time!
Check out this GitHub link for a similar issue with Non-Steam Launchers on Steam Deck: https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers-On-Steam-Deck.

You can add the Genshin launcher to Steam and install the game through that. Just make sure to replace the target path in Steam with the actual executable (.exe) of Genshin.
Dude, it finally worked! Thanks so much! I spent almost four days searching for a solution.
