I’m looking for games that allow me to zone out a bit and listen to my own music. I have this routine where I gather suggestions from my Spotify Discover Weekly and make a huge playlist to sift through later. Previously, I’ve been playing RuneScape/OSRS, focusing on skilling tasks or easy bosses while jamming out. But I’m on a break from RuneScape now, so I’m hoping to find something new that has enough variety to keep me entertained without demanding too much focus. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Hell Divers 2 also works in this setup nicely! It’s fun to team up with friends while tuning into your own jams.
Any MMO can work well for this! They often have a nice blend of grinding and quests, plus you can just get lost in the music.
I like playing Fallout and just turning the music way down. It fits perfectly with the vibe of wandering the wasteland while I blast my own tunes.
If you’re into football, Football Manager is a fantastic game for listening to music. You can manage your team while your playlist does the heavy lifting!
Currently, I’m playing Crime Scene Cleaner on Game Pass. It’s a funky game where I can listen to dark jazz while doing some eerie cleanup—it’s quite the combo!
Forza Horizon 5 is another solid pick. It’s a beautiful game where you can just cruise around while your playlist runs the show. Tons of fun with enough variety to keep it interesting.
Hypixel Skyblock is a great choice! The grinding is pretty mindless—just click away at enemies or hold down the button while mining or farming. It’s chill enough to vibe with your music and there’s tons to do. You might also want to check out Factorio, although it’s a bit complex at first, it becomes straightforward once you understand the basics. Other titles like Balatro, and the Roguelites like Risk of Rain and Enter the Gungeon offer infinite gameplay, even if they’re not grind-heavy. Eve Online is also worth a look if you don’t mind the subscription fee.
I do the same while playing The Binding of Isaac. It’s such a great way to enjoy music while dodging those enemies!
Yeah, but I feel like Balatro has some amazing sound design that really pulls you in. Listening to music on top of that might not do it justice, but that’s just me!
