I’m looking for some genuine advice on how to effectively counter Yasuo and Yone in mid lane. I’ve tried various champions but seem to struggle against their mobility and sustain, especially given their tendency to farm safely with Doran’s Shield. I’ve experimented with Vex, but I find her passive’s long cooldown is a hindrance against Yasuo. I’ve also considered champions like Pantheon and Garen, but I’m just not sure what would really make those windshapers miserable. Any specific champion picks or strategies that can help against them would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, if you want a reliable counter, you can’t go wrong with Malphite. Just build full armor and you can shut both down easily. Yasuo and Yone might get frustrated trying to engage when you just stack armor. Plus, you’ll set yourself up for easy ganks too!
I see what you mean. Maxing E and just letting them bounce off you does sound pretty satisfying!
You know, picking a bruiser like Garen or Sett can also really help against Yasuo and Yone. They tend to struggle against champions that can trade well in short bursts. Just make sure you’re trading effectively and not letting them kite you.
That’s a good point! I’ve also heard of players doing well with Akali or even Fizz if they’re skilled enough.
I’ve been maining Vex for a while, and I can tell you that she actually works great against Yone! Yasuo can be trickier, but he’s definitely manageable. You just need to play around Vex’s passive and aim for optimal moments to burst him down. Another solid option is Taliyah; she has some good zoning and poke potential that works well against both of them.
Yeah, Vex is a bit newer, but she’s solid against both if you time your spells right!
Could you share more about how you play Vex into them? I feel like I can’t punish them enough due to their sustain.
Yeah, just go for plated steel caps first item and it’s basically over for them.
