What are some surreal exploration games similar to LSD: Dream Emulator?

-

I’m really into both video games and surrealist art, and one of my all-time favorites is LSD: Dream Emulator because it beautifully combines both elements. I’m on the lookout for other games that offer surreal environments where I can explore freely. Any recommendations?

Definitely check out Osamu Sato, the creator of LSD! He has other intriguing titles, like *Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong Nou*, which is even more surreal than LSD. That’s a wild ride you won’t want to miss!

You might want to explore *Cargo! The Quest For Gravity*. It’s a bit quirky, kind of like *Nuts & Bolts*, but with a twist — imagine 50-year-old babies singing rhyming songs while you interact with the environment! It’s an amusing ride from Ice-Pick Lodge, known for their other titles like Pathologic.

If you’re into unique experiences, try *The Dream Machine*. It’s a neat point-and-click adventure made in claymation, and the dream sequences are super surreal. Then there’s *Scanner Sombre*, where you explore caves using a LIDAR scanner that reveals a bright, rainbow-colored world. For something a bit darker, check out *Scorn* — it’s more horror-focused, but the environments are stunning. Lastly, give *Wurroom* a shot; it’s a short game with psychedelic vibes and it’s free!
