What are some must-play PC games for a newcomer?

Hey everyone! I just built my first gaming PC, and I’m itching to dive into some awesome games. I’ve already played DayZ and I’m working on Escape from Tarkov, although Tarkov is a bit tough for me right now. I’m looking for more PC exclusives or games that excel on PC, particularly ones that are similar to DayZ and Tarkov. I came from consoles, so I’m kind of lost with what’s available out there. Also, if there are any games not on Steam that I should check out, I’d love to know! Any recommendations for indie games, horror experiences, or even mod-friendly games? I have a 5080 and a 9800x3d, but I have no clue what other games to download. Plus, how do people discover these popular PC games? All I see are mainstream titles that also come out on Xbox and PS5. Appreciate any help!

You should definitely check out Forever Winter. It’s a co-op PvE game kinda like Tarkov but with less stress since it’s still in Early Access and a bit buggy. It’s got beautiful art and music to vibe with while you play!
