I have a special place in my heart for Project IGI, which was the first PC game I ever played. I started with just the trial version, literally playing that first mission over and over until I finally got the full game a year later. The excitement of sneaking through enemy territory and outsmarting guards really hooked me. I’m curious if there are any modern games that capture that same thrilling experience, but with today’s technology and graphics?

If you’re looking for something that captures that same sneaky vibe, you should definitely check out Metal Gear Solid 5. Sure, it has some heavy dialogue, but the stealth mechanics are top-notch. Another great pick is Ghost Recon Breakpoint, though I’d recommend skipping the awful first episode of the campaign and just tweaking the difficulty settings to fit your style. Make sure you give them a try!
You might want to look into Crysis; it’s a solid choice for someone coming from IGI. As for Ghost Recon, I highly recommend Wildlands as well. And if you’re up for it, the newer Far Cry games have plenty of sneaking around, although they aren’t quite military-themed like IGI. They might still scratch that itch!
