I’m really into games that give me that urban explorer vibe, where I can uncover stories and lore by rummaging through abandoned places. I love games that feature environmental storytelling, like discovering old notes or photographs that piece together a narrative. Post-apocalyptic settings are my favorite, as they let me explore without feeling overwhelmed by too many NPCs. Any recommendations?

You should check out Cyberpunk! It’s got a lot of urban exploration vibes, even though it’s super populated. You can find body shards with dark stories attached while rifling through the city’s chaos.
Definitely give The Last of Us a shot for its storytelling and the way it allows you to explore desolate environments.
If you’re into post-apocalyptic stuff, Dying Light and Dying Light 2 are fantastic for that exploration feel! The setting really immerses you in a world filled with lore.
You might also enjoy the Fallout series or the Metro games. They’re packed with that environmental storytelling you crave!
INFRA is awesome for that. Plus, Gone Home has a similar rummaging mechanic where you uncover stories, although it’s not strictly urban exploration.
