I recently got a tablet intending to use it for watching videos and such, but I’ve mostly stopped doing that. Now, I’m looking for recommendations on mobile games that offer a better experience on a tablet than on a phone. I’m open to different genres and don’t mind paying upfront costs or dealing with microtransactions or ads. I typically play games like Legends of Runeterra, Ascension, and Slay the Spire, but anything that makes good use of the larger screen and doesn’t require constant zooming is welcome.

You’ve got a ton of options for some awesome tablet gaming! Check out Monster Train or Banner Saga if you like strategic or story-driven experiences. For those cozy farming vibes, Stardew Valley and Graveyard Keeper are perfect. Of course, there’s always the classic Minecraft and Terraria for a sandbox feel. Don’t forget about fun roguelikes like Dicey Dungeons and Slice & Dice. All of these play beautifully on a larger screen.
If you’re into something nostalgic, the original Rollercoaster Tycoon is great for tablets — though some find it less challenging with age. Alternatively, Transport Tycoon can be a solid pick if you’re into managing stuff. The relaxed pace can be quite enjoyable when you’re just lounging in bed.
I agree with the lists mentioned, but also might want to add some unique indie gems like Dungreed, Dicey Elementalists, and Powerlust. These games offer a mix of excitement and strategy that take full advantage of the tablet’s larger display. They’re perfect for those longer gaming sessions.
