I’ve been thinking about how some games get criticized not just for their gameplay but also for their titles. Are there any good or even great games out there that have really bad titles?

How about Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie? I mean, what a mouthful! But for being a launch title for the PS3 and Xbox 360, it was surprisingly fun. Just imagine if they had a little more time to polish it!
Prey (2017) could have used a better name too. Something like Neuroshock would have been more fitting and would have tied it nicely to classics like System Shock and Bioshock. It’s crazy that such a great game could suffer from its title!
Gun is another one that stands out. It got some great reviews and even snagged a few Game of the Year awards, but let’s be real—the title is super bland and uninspired.
One game that comes to mind is Battlefield 4. The title just sounds so generic, right? But it’s actually a classic! On the other hand, Battlefield Bad Company sounds way cooler and more badass. Anyone else agree?
Don’t forget Divine Divinity. It’s a classic RPG but just has a silly title that doesn’t do it justice.
