Hey everyone! I just wrapped up Baldur’s Gate 3, which was fantastic but took me about 100 hours mainly focused on the story. Now, I’m looking for games I can jump into and just enjoy the gameplay without too much narrative weight. Here are a few that I’ve really enjoyed: Resogun, Trackmania, Rayman Legends, Fromsoft games, Astro Bot, and Returnal. What other games would you recommend that are heavy on gameplay and light on story?

Tetris Connected is surprisingly addictive! It’s simple but has a stunning visual flair, especially on OLED screens. Totally a game you can jump in and out of without needing to think too much.
Don’t miss out on Celeste! While it does have a little story, it’s mainly about the platforming gameplay, and it’s really top-notch. Also, Hades is fantastic if you enjoy rogue-likes.
Celeste has such an amazing soundtrack too; it’s one of my all-time favorites!
Returnal is a must! It’s from the same devs as Resogun and really nails that gameplay experience. Also, keep in mind that it just got a Pro patch to enhance the visuals as well!
But you already mentioned Returnal in your post! It’s such a good choice though.
Don’t forget, it looks stunning in 4K!
Have you checked out Hades or V Rising? Both games have awesome gameplay mechanics and recently got some new content too! V Rising just released a big patch to refresh things and it’s well worth diving into.
Yeah, I love V Rising! The new patch added a lot of good stuff.
Just Cause 3 offers some of the most enjoyable gameplay! While the story is mediocre, it’s a blast just messing around in its beautiful sandbox environment. I had a ton of fun with its DLCs too, especially the rocket-powered wingsuit.
I totally agree! Just Cause 2 was a similar vibe for me, I barely did any missions and just had a blast blowing stuff up.
Yes! Saints Row 3 also gives that peak sandbox fun.
Tetris always hits the spot for some laid-back fun. Plus, it gets your mind racing!
