I’m looking for recommendations on games that creatively play with the concept of scale—where the characters are either really large or small compared to their surroundings. For example, in It Takes Two, we control dolls in a human-sized world. Do you know any similar games that capture this interesting dynamic?

You should definitely check out Robot Alchemic Drive! It’s a unique giant robot game where you control a massive mech from the outside using a remote. Watching it smash through a city fighting huge monsters gives a really great sense of scale!
Some more fun options are Bug Fables, the Katamari Damacy series, and even Mini & Max from UFO 50. Armored Core 6 is also worth a try!
Grounded is a fantastic choice! You play as kids shrunk down to a tiny size, building bases from leaves and battling giant bugs. It’s a super fun take on the size difference! Also, Micro Machines is a classic with toy cars racing in very miniature environments. You might enjoy any game featuring toy soldiers or model airplanes too. Plus, Gigapocalypse lets you control giant monsters destroying cities—definitely gives you that scale perspective!
If you’re into retro games, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap on GBA is awesome. It has sections where you must shrink to navigate through tricky areas, which really ties into the scale theme.
Consider titles like Everything, Maquette, and Patrick’s Parabox. They each play with scale in interesting ways and offer unique puzzle-solving experiences!
