I’m looking for recommendations on engaging adventure modules or campaigns that prominently feature cults. It’s mainly to expand my own knowledge and possibly find cool, thematic content to use or enjoy. Any suggestions with cult-focused storylines would be awesome!

Call of Cthulhu is loaded with cult adventures. The *Masks of Nyarlathotep* campaign is a huge one – it includes multiple cults tied to the elder god Nyarlathotep with a sprawling globe-trotting storyline. Also, there’s a supplement called *Cults of Cthulhu* that’s all about creating and implementing cults in your games, which could be really handy if you want to build your own cult-themed story.
A classic you can’t go wrong with is *Against the Cult of the Reptile God*. It’s pretty much the definitive cult-themed adventure and has inspired a lot of stuff since.
Oh cool, I didn’t realize there was a definitive cult module like that! Thanks for pointing it out.
If you want a modern twist, check out *The Parthenogenesis of Hungry Hollow*. It’s a neat adaptation of the Reptile God story but for the Liminal Horror RPG system.
For something with a bit of a post-apocalyptic cult vibe, the *Convergence* Mystery from the Public Access line centers on an apocalypse cult running a wellness spa. It’s a really unique setting that blends creepy cult vibes with wellness culture in a weird way.
If you’re into Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition, the adventure *Heathen* is a solid pick. It’s in Dungeon Magazine issue 155. The story has an ‘Apocalypse Now’ kind of atmosphere with a cult as the main antagonist. Fair warning: it features quite a few combat encounters, but you can easily trim some fights if you prefer more roleplay or investigation.
Masks of Nyarlathotep sounds epic! Definitely going to check that out. Thanks for the tip!
