I’m a huge fan of action RPGs and I’m currently enjoying Avowed, Skyrim, and The Witcher 3. However, I find that playing large AAA titles on my Steam Deck is a bit of a letdown, especially when I have to dial down the graphics settings. An example of a game that really shines on the Deck is Crosscode, which features excellent action combat, solid RPG mechanics, and engaging quests. I’m looking for similar recommendations that are also running great on Steam Deck, and bonus points if they’re discounted during the current Steam Sale!

You should definitely check out Drova! It’s got a unique control scheme, but you can adjust it a bit to suit your style. Also, I’ve heard that Cyberpunk 2077 runs quite well on the Deck, though I’ve only played it on my gaming PC. It’s a blast if you’re into the vibe. If you’re looking for something different, Death’s Door might be right up your alley; it’s more like old-school Zelda but still super enjoyable.
If you haven’t tried Kingdoms of Amalur yet, it’s totally worth a shot. And if you’re into immersive worlds, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is fantastic and runs smoothly on the Deck—especially the Royal edition, which is only €10 right now! You’ll really like it if you’re into Skyrim and such.
You can’t go wrong with classic games like Chrono Trigger! And if you’re up for some older titles, I’d highly recommend the Gothic series. Gothic 2, in particular, is a gem and runs well on the Steam Deck.
