I’m on the lookout for games that are similar to the Half-Life series. I really enjoy immersive stories, puzzles, and exploration rather than just fast-paced combat or mindless action. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the Fallout series? They’re great for digging into stories and lore, plus there are plenty of quests and exploration to keep you engaged!
Since you liked Half-Life, you might want to check out the free mods Entropy: Zero and its sequel. Entropy: Zero 2 really expands on the first game with a solid story, plus there’s a fun twist on the famous gnome challenge. The second one has some really cool boss battles too!
I’ve played them both and thought the second one was fantastic! Looking at getting a VR headset soon to try out Half-Life: Alyx, but I need to save up after this new PC build.
If you’re into story-driven experiences, you should definitely check out games like Bioshock and Prey (2017). They have rich narratives and great world-building that will pull you in. Atomic Heart and Dishonored are also fantastic options, providing both good storytelling and some interesting puzzles. You really get lost in those worlds, which is what you seem to be after!
I’ve played all the Bioshock games, and Dishonored was awesome! I couldn’t really get into Deathloop though, which surprised me since I usually love Bethesda titles.
Good shout! I’ve played through all the Fallout games and loved them.
