I’m on the hunt for games that have fantastic side modes or missions that you can keep playing over and over again. Think along the lines of the Raid and Mercenary modes in Resident Evil, Deniable Ops in Splinter Cell: Conviction, or the Predator maps from the Batman Arkham series. I’ve logged more hours in these modes than the main campaigns, especially in SC: Conviction and Raid mode from RE: Revelations 2. Any recommendations?

You might like Hitman: World of Tomorrow; it’s great on its own, but the added Escalations really mix things up! Also, Streets of Rage 4 with the Mr. X Nightmare DLC is a lot of fun, and Portal 2’s co-op mode is legendary!
I can’t forget the side-scrolling beat ’em up mode in Tekken 3! Mortal Kombat has tried it too, but it doesn’t seem to work as well as other games. For mini-games, Tekken Bowl from Tekken Tag is also a blast!
I’ve never tried Tekken 3, but it sounds awesome! I remember there was a GranBlue game with a similar mode, and who could forget chess kombat from MK Deception?
You should definitely check out Prey 2017; it has a mode called Mooncrash that’s like a roguelike experience. It’s super replayable, and each run can feel quite different!
Absolutely, it’s really well done!
Gwent from The Witcher series is also pretty addictive! I used to have physical cards from the expansions, and it’s just as fun in-game. Also, I really got into Queens Blood in FF7 Rebirth—great RPGs often throw in fantastic card games, right?
How about Call of Duty Zombies? Those modes can be endlessly entertaining, especially with friends.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has cool modes too, like playing as Bloodless or Zangetsu. Lots of replay value there!
