What Are Some Games That Require Precise Shot Placement?

-

I’m searching for video games where hitting your shots really matters. I’m particularly interested in titles where shot placement affects gameplay significantly. Games I’ve enjoyed that have this aspect include Hunt: Showdown, Dead Space, Resident Evil, The Last of Us, and Isonzo. I play on PS5 and PC. Any recommendations?

You could also try Killer 7. It’s an older title but worth checking out for its unique gameplay.

Nice, I’ve always wanted to play that! Thanks for the suggestion!

Hunting games generally focus a lot on shot placement too, though I’m not too familiar with that genre.

For an online experience, Rainbow 6 Siege might be right up your alley. It emphasizes strategic shooting and making every shot count, plus it’s multiplayer which can add to the challenge.

Sharpshooter24 -

That’s close, but I find the time-to-kill a bit too quick for my personal taste.

The Sniper series could also fit what you’re looking for. Just make sure to turn off any assists for full control over shot placement! I have Sniper 4 and 5 but haven’t advanced much.

You might want to look at Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. While it’s not strictly about ammo conservation, aiming for specific weak spots is key to taking down tougher enemies.

I’ve 100% completed both games, including NG+ and ultra hard mode! You’ve nailed that aspect.

Check out the Metro series, especially Metro Exodus in Ranger Hardcore mode. Ammo is super scarce, so you’ll need to craft your own supplies. Also, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow Of Chernobyl is known for this too; headshots are essential since enemies can take a lot of damage. If you’re into online FPS games, Hell Let Loose is a must-try. It’s intense, and you’ll have a hard time spotting enemies, but it really tests your shooting skills! Don’t get discouraged if you die a lot; it’s all part of the experience!

Metro has been on my list for a while. I should definitely replay it! STALKER sounds interesting too. I totally get what you mean about HLL; I prefer Isonzo for the more approachable gameplay.
