What are some games that focus on body, mind, and spirit stats?

-

I’m looking for recommendations on games that emphasize body, mind, and spirit (or social) as their core attributes. Ideally, I’d love to see options that also include a fourth stat like luck, fate, or destiny. I’m particularly interested in medieval fantasy settings where combat is a key element, but I’m open to other genres too!

Also, the Cosmere RPG is interesting because it formats its six main stats around physical, cognitive, and spiritual attributes, which aligns perfectly with what you’re after. It’s inspired by the Cosmere universe, so it’s a pretty cool fantasy setting too!

You might want to look into ‘Dangerous Journeys: Mythus.’ It’s a bit of a deep dive, but it has some unique takes on body, mind, and spirit stats that could fit your needs. Just be ready for a complex system!

Check out the TriStat system, especially Big Eyes, Small Mouth (BESM). The second edition is my favorite! It has a solid mix of body, mind, and spirit stats, and works well across different genres. If you’re in the mood for anime-style gameplay, it’s definitely worth exploring!

I’ve heard good things about BESM 3rd edition too, even though I find the second edition to be the best. 3e does some good tweaks but can get a bit complicated during character creation with its math. Still, both editions have their moments!

And don’t forget to look up Silver Age Sentinels if you’re into superhero themes. It also runs on the TriStat system, so you can easily align it with your body, mind, spirit dynamic!
