I’m diving into legacy challenges in The Sims, but I keep losing interest because I end up playing the same way each time. I’m looking for a challenge that spans at least 10 generations, with each generation having unique rules and goals to keep things fresh and exciting. I play The Sims 2, 3, and 4, so any ideas you have would be awesome!

If you haven’t seen James Turner’s Bigwallet legacy challenge, you might want to check it out! He starts a new generation aligned with the release of each game pack, limiting the gameplay to that pack’s content. It seems like a fun way to shake things up without a ton of strict rules!
You might like the Llamas and Legends legacy challenge! It has 10 generations with various paths and goals for each generation. I’ve been trying it out, and it’s been a blast, even if I took a break. It’s diverse enough to keep my interest up!
Have you tried the Alphabet Challenge? It spans 26 generations, and each one is named starting with a different letter of the alphabet. For example, the first could be Anna, then her child could be Brett, and so on. Another great one is the True Berry Challenge! In this, each generation represents a color—so the first is red, the second is orange, and you match their clothing, skin, and even their house to that color. This can go on indefinitely since rainbows have no end! If you’re interested, there’s also a ‘Not So Berry’ variant using standard skin tones but still focusing on color for other attributes.
I’ve got my own messy take on a legacy challenge—it’s a 45 generation lepacy where I try to work through every pack available. Each generation focuses on a different pack’s features, which keeps it fun and challenging! It can be tricky not to repeat myself, though. I started out wanting to cover all careers, aspirations, and skills, but I kept restarting the same way, which made it boring.
I totally get that! I had the same problem, trying to make sure I covered everything but ended up falling into the same patterns each time.
I’ve been there! It’s tough to mix it up when you keep going back to the same setups.
I’m actually thinking of binge-watching his series! It sounds so entertaining!
