I’m working with elementary school kids and often bring my Steam Deck or Switch for them to enjoy some gaming. To make sure everyone gets a turn, I’m looking for 4-player games that have round-based gameplay, ideally lasting about 5 minutes each. I’d love to expand my collection! They’ve previously had a blast with games like Smash Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Boomerang Fu, and especially Gigabash. They like silly and goofy games, and I’m open to any budget as well as emulated titles.

You can’t go wrong with Overcooked or Overcooked 2! They’re fantastic for multiplayer and require teamwork. The rounds are quick, and it’s all about cooking while navigating hilarious kitchen disasters!
Tape to Tape is a blast! It’s an old-school hockey game but with a modern twist, perfect for couch co-op. Also, New Star GP is a cool arcade racing game; just be ready for some technical driving with brakes and all!
Ultimate Chicken Horse is another great pick that combines fun platforming with friendly competition. You’ll have a blast with the kids!
You should definitely try Invisigun! It’s like Bomberman but everyone is invisible – it gets pretty chaotic and fun!
Lol that sounds like chaos!
*It’s super silly, like there’s a special event for every map. You’ll be cooking while mice try to steal your mushrooms, or you’ll end up with a giant crack in the middle of your kitchen! It’s my go-to for fun with non-gamers.
