I’m not really a fan of turn-based games because I often get bored waiting for turns and attack animations. However, I know that many of these games have great stories, and I hate missing out. I’ve found a few that I could get into: “Legend of Dragoon,” which kept me engaged with its addition system, and “Persona 5,” thanks to its flashy and fast-paced combat. I also enjoyed “Undertale” a lot. I’ve heard about a new game, “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33,” that seems promising because it has timed hits like LoD. What other turn-based games would you recommend that might appeal to someone like me?

“Baldur’s Gate 3” totally hooked me, even as someone who usually avoids turn-based games. The combat flows well, and the positioning aspect makes it much more engaging compared to typical setups. It’s like playing chess but with role-playing twist!
For sure! They should add a fast forward option, though. Sometimes it can take ages when too many enemies are on screen.
“Yakuza: Like a Dragon” is another great title! It’s turn-based, but you have so many different actions and reactions during your turn, plus the side quests keep the game lively and fun!
So true! The humor and side activities really charm you when you’re not in combat.
You should definitely check out “Final Fantasy X.” The turn-based system here feels dynamic, especially without the active time battle system. Plus, in “Final Fantasy X-2,” the combat is even faster as regular attacks happen simultaneously!
That’s a classic! The pacing definitely keeps it more fluid than many other turn-based games.
Agreed! I think the whole series is worth exploring if you enjoyed FFX.
I agree! The strategy of positioning adds a lot to the experience. It’s not just about attacking; there’s so much more depth in deciding how to approach each battle.
