What are some engaging idle games with depth I can try?

-

Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for an idle or simple game that still has some depth to it. I enjoy games that require a bit of thinking and counting, like deckbuilders and dungeon crawlers. I recently played Balatro and loved it! Ideally, I’m looking for something that features combat, but I’m definitely open to exploring other genres as well. Thanks in advance, and have a great day! <3

For something with really simple inputs that still requires a lot of thinking, check out Tactical Nexus. You control everything with the mouse, and there are keyboard shortcuts too. It’s all about strategy and routing!

You might want to check out some idle games like Ngu Idle, Wizard and Minion Idle, or Wizards Wheel 2. I’ve stuck with Soda Dungeon 1 and 2 as well because they’re pretty fun! Let me know if you try any of these.

I really liked Wizard Idle! Just a heads-up, though; it’s easy to hit a progression wall if you don’t follow some guides.

Don’t forget about Slay the Spire! It’s not exactly an idle game, but it definitely combines deck-building with lots of strategic depth.

You should definitely look into Melvor Idle! It has tons of skills to level up, companions to summon, and scrolls to cast while you fight monsters and collect treasures. Plus, it’s on sale on Steam right now!

If you’re into organizing and decorating, Garden Galaxy’s could be a nice fit. It might not have as much depth as you want, but it’s really relaxing and fun to de-stress with!
