I’m looking for some low-key Action RPGs that I can play on my Steam Deck. I’ve enjoyed games like Path of Exile 1 and 2, Grim Dawn, Diablo 4, Torchlight, and Last Epoch, but I’m hoping to find something that’s not too massive in scope. I want games that have loot progression and skill points but are a bit more laid-back than things like PoE or D4. As a relatively new Steam Deck user, I’m all about that casual couch gaming vibe. Any recommendations? Also, if you have any RPG suggestions that aren’t strictly ARPGs, I’d love to hear those too!

Diablo 2 is a classic! Though I can’t seem to find it on Steam, so if you’ve played it on the Deck, could you share how you got it running?
Another fun suggestion would be Disco Elysium! It’s not exactly an ARPG, but it has an incredible story and character development that could be a nice change of pace.
As for Last Epoch, I wouldn’t fully recommend it for the Deck. It starts okay, but as the game progresses and the action picks up, the FPS starts to drop significantly, especially in the mid to late game.
Thanks for the heads-up! I was really considering purchasing it, but I guess I’ll hold off for now.
You might enjoy games like Ender Lillies: Quietus of the Knights. It’s not quite an isometric ARPG – more of a side-scroller and has a bit of a Souls-like vibe. It’s perfect for couch gaming, really engaging, but still allows you to take it at your own pace!
That sounds interesting! Not a huge fan of side-scrollers, but if it’s engaging enough, I might give it a shot!
Have you tried AI Limit? I’m having a blast with it right now! I’ve logged nearly 30 hours, and it runs pretty smoothly on the Deck with graphics settings that accommodate it well.
You can actually run Diablo 2 through Battle.net! Just install the client, and you should be able to play it on your Deck.
