I’ve spent the last couple of months absolutely hooked on Katana Zero and Dead Cells. I love games where the first few hours feel like a real challenge, but after some practice, I can slice through waves of enemies like a total badass. I’m looking for more games that give me that intense action experience, whether they have swords or guns—it doesn’t matter as long as they look cool!

If you’re into roguelikes, you should check out Skul: The Hero Slayer. It’s kind of like Dead Cells but with a slower pace and a different playstyle. If you’re open to card-based roguelikes, give Dawncaster or Slay the Spire a shot. They both start slow but trust me, once you figure out the combos, it can get really fun! Just keep in mind that those are more strategic than action-oriented.
If you’re leaning towards pure action, you might want to try games like Katana Zero or even something like Devil May Cry. Those games really emphasize stylish gameplay and come with a sick combo system that’s super satisfying. Another great one is Ghostrunner—it’s got that same high-octane thrill that keeps you on your toes!
I get what you mean about wanting something more action-focused. Skul definitely has some exciting action, but if you’re looking for pure thrills, try out Hades or Hotline Miami too! They’re packed with fast-paced gameplay, and you’ll be stylishly defeating enemies in no time.
