Hey everyone! I’m from the US and I’m heading over to Europe soon. I’ll be bringing my Steam Deck along to keep me entertained on the flights and trains. I’m a bit anxious about whether I should be concerned when charging it with US to EU plug adapters that I found on Amazon. Am I overthinking this? I just don’t want to risk damaging the battery with a cheap adapter. Also, would it make more sense to bring a power bank to charge my Steam Deck when I’m not using it? Any advice would be really appreciated!

If your devices can handle different voltages, a simple plug adapter would do the trick. But for charging the Steam Deck, I’d recommend getting an international charger with a standard output of at least 45W. It’ll be safer and more reliable.
You can definitely use EU adapters or a charger with a Euro plug rated 45W or higher. I have a 65W Baseus charger that works great, and I use it with a detachable cable to juice up everything from my laptop to my phone and Steam Deck!
As long as your charger supports 110-250v, you should be good to go! Just make sure to check those specs on the charger.

Don’t forget that the 50-60Hz frequency is also important, so double-check that too!
